Breakthrough Sound Capture—Where Microphones Can’t Go

ASAM™ (Alango Sound Acquisition Module) is a groundbreaking way to capture sound through solid barriers like glass, metal, plastic, or composites without external microphones or openings.

This solves an old problem: how to hear sounds behind sealed or protected surfaces without compromising strength, hygiene, weather resistance, or aesthetics. Until now, no practical solution allowed reliable sound sensing through solid surfaces while removing noise on the sensor’s side.

Powered by Vibrozio™, Alango’s proprietary digital signal processing (DSP) engine, ASAM™ picks up internal sounds even in noisy, sealed, or complex environments. It integrates seamlessly into automotive, industrial, medical, and security systems where normal microphones cannot venture.

What is Vibrozio™?

 

Traditional vibration sensors pick up sounds from both sides of a surface but can’t tell which side they come from.

Vibrozio™ solves this with a patent-pending adaptive filtering algorithm that uses:

  • Three MEMS vibration sensors, strategically placed for optimal SNR.
  • An integrated reference microphone to detect local noise near the sensor.

These inputs are processed on an offboard DSP to separate sounds coming from inside or outside the barrier. The result: clear, focused sound capture behind physical obstacles—enabling sound acquisition in sealed enclosures and protected areas.

Each compact 40 × 35 mm module includes:

  • 3 MEMS vibration sensors, arranged for optimal signal-to-noise ratio.
  • 1 integrated reference microphone, essential for Vibrozio’s filtering.
  • Daisy-chain A²B connectivity, easily expanding coverage.
  • No onboard DSP—processing is centralized for easier upgrades.
  • Non-invasive mounting, attaching cleanly with industrial adhesive.
