Alango to Present Three Papers at AES Automotive Audio 2026
Alango Technologies will participate in the AES 2026 International Conference on Automotive Audio, taking place July 29–31 in Detroit, Michigan.
This year, Alango will present three technical papers covering different aspects of automotive audio development — from signal analysis and system tuning to personalized listening experiences.
The paper introduces a method for comparing audio processing variants using time-aligned spectrograms, spectral difference masking, and synchronized audio switching, allowing engineers to evaluate visual and auditory differences together.
Oral presentation: Thursday, July 30 | 10:00–10:20 a.m. | Hall C
The paper presents an automatic method for designing cascaded biquad equalizers for automotive audio systems. Using constrained non-linear optimization, the method determines both the filter parameters and the number of filters required to match a target frequency response within predefined tolerances.
Oral presentation: Thursday, July 30 | 3:45–4:05 p.m. | Hall C
Layered Hearing-Aware Sound Personalization for Automotive Audio
The paper explores a layered approach to hearing-aware sound personalization in cars, with three entry routes: an age-based preset, a hearing-test or audiogram-based profile, and a Best Sound Point preference interface.
The latter can be used either as a standalone listening-based method or to refine the other profiles.
Poster sessions: Wednesday–Friday, July 29–31 | 9:30–10:00 a.m. and 3:15–3:45 p.m.
